This was a request from my 6 year old daughter. It was on my list and she loves singing along with it, so she insisted that this one was next.
You Belong With Me starts off with a banjo ostinato and then the bass enters with a swellbefore dropping into a root note two feel with flourishes for the verses/prechorus and eighth notes for all of the big sections like the Chorus and Bridge. The eighth notes lock in with drummer Nick Buda beautifully, driving it hard underneath T-Swizzles pop country vocals and jangly guitars.
Tim used a Bob Osborn signature series Lakland bass with Roundwounds through a Universal Audio Channel Strip mixed with whatever line the engineer used. Enjoy!
