Jimmie Lee Sloas absolutely slays on Days Go By. Played on a detuned bass (DGCF), there are lines that are only fully possible due to the open D and G strings, particularly the fills on the bridge (bar 68). There is also a lot of octaves going on throughout, which fattens up some sections and in others gives it a slippery kind of feel.
The song was written by Monty Powell and Keith Urban and was the first single from Keith Urbans 2004 album, Be Here.
