Bassist:Jimmie Lee Sloas
About the song:
This is such a great song, underpinned by a driving and sometimes unexpected bassline. In particular, check out the fills in bars 14/15 (a superb crossover fill), 32 and 70 (straight 16th note melodic fills). There is also a magic moment (bars 83 and 91) where Jimmie Lee plays a unison with the guitars. You will need a 5 string bass to pull off the low octaves throughout.
“The title refers to when emotions take over and you just can’t hold them back. It really speaks to a lot of things that have happened in the past year and I hope when you hear it, you can relate those feelings to those times in your life. It’s emotional. It’s real. And it rocks!”Carrie Underwood
The song was written by Carrie Underwood, Hillary Lindsey, Liz Rose, and Lori McKenna. The rhythm section includes drummer Chris McHugh , making for a powerhouse that sometimes coincides and other times juxtaposes ideas to keep you hooked throughout.
